Think of it this way: your phone won’t last long if it never hits the charger, right? The same goes for us. Genesis tells us that after six days of creating the world, “God rested on the seventh day from all his work” (Genesis 2:2, ESV). If the Creator of the universe took time to pause, it’s safe to say we should too.
Jesus modeled it as well — slipping away to quiet places, even when the crowds wanted more of Him (Luke 5:16). If He needed space to breathe, recharge, and pray, how much more do we?
